Hello, I am Lucia
Project manager. Parent. Expat based in Madrid, Spain.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually opened a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Spain wasn't in the long-term plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. Yet gradually, routines settled in. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built MossViewLine
Most information online was either corporate-level relocation advice or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site aims to close that gap — practical guidance based on real life in Spain.
What This Website Represents (And Doesn't)
This site IS:
- Hands-on experience from living in Spain
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated when there is a real change
This site ISN'T:
- Not a guide endorsed by tourism authorities
- Not a paid-review platform
- Not a generic travel diary
Looking Forward
Our stay in Spain goes on, and the learning journey continues. As long as the information remains useful, I will continue noting what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Madrid or anywhere in Spain, please get in touch.
Best regards,
Lucia
